In April 2024, I received the phone call that no parent ever should receive. One of our sons was no longer on this earth.
In the months and years that have followed, my husband and I have been searching for answers. Where is he? Is he just gone? Poof. Is he in heaven? What happened to all of that energy that he had… that he was?
My husband was the first to begin asking these questions and would go down YouTube rabbit holes listening to the stories of people who had died for a short time and came back. That lead him to mediums.
One, in particular, was Suzanne Giesemann. Suzanne is what is known as an evidential medium. She doesn’t have a crystal ball or read your tea leaves. She connects with spirits that have passed and provides evidence that the loved one would be able to confirm but that she would have no way of knowing about herself. With that evidence, it’s clear that you are communicating with “your person” on the other side. Through Suzanne, we also found an organization called Helping Parents Heal, that has been instrumental in our journey.
I began with Suzanne’s book The Awakened Way and the progressed to taking one of her classes. It was a slow process, but I began to get glimpses of my son and others that had crossed over.
When “strangers” began coming through and giving me evidence, I asked, “what is the purpose of this? I can’t find their people to get the messages to them.” My son told me that I should share these messages online. That the right people would stumble across them when they needed to see their message.
So here I am. Stepping WAY out of my comfort zone, showing the world what I do in the mornings before I have my coffee.
How does it work?
All of my education has been based on evidential mediumship. This means that the spirit comes through and gives a whole slew of evidence that you would be able to verify. Things that I likely would never know or never be able to find out on my own. Sometimes it’s a lot of little things, sometimes it’s just a few things (like early on in my attempts). A message for the person or people left here on Earth usually follows. The evidence lets you know it’s them so the message is received.
It all comes through in fits and starts, so you will see phrases sometimes and whole paragraphs other times. Sometimes I have a great connection with a spirit and it’s almost like I’m watching a movie. Other times it’s more like playing charades and I will only get symbols that will (hopefully) mean something to you. Where I get a general feeling with these symbols or images, I make note of that, but that doesn’t mean that my feeling is correct. If a symbol resonates with you, but not the feeling I associate with it, ignore the feeling. I’m likely wrong or accidentally injecting my own experiences.
Sometimes (most times) I also ask for a “sign”. Something that you will see or run across in a few days to a week after reading the message. It’s just one more way they will say “I am still here. This is real. This is your message.” So if you connect with a message here, be on the lookout for the sign listed as well.
